Kunming Metallurgy College

Kunming Metallurgy College was established in 1952. It is a full-time public school with a long history and distinctive features, offering specialties including engineering (as its main majors) and science, management, arts and business. It is one of the 100 national model higher vocational colleges in China. The school facilities are complete and the campus environment is graceful and pleasant. The college has two campuses, occupying an area of more than 204 acres. There are now more than 21,000 full-time students. The number of teaching staff is 971, among which about 400 are professors and associate professors. The experimental training equipment are advanced and more than 400 training bases (13 are provincial-level demonstration training bases) covering all the specialties have been built inside and outside the school. The conditions of practice and training are in the leading level of the same kind in China. The school achievement is remarkable. From its establishment, the college has trained more than 100,000 high skilled talents. The college has won such honors as the National Outstanding Higher Vocational College in Personnel Training in China, National Advanced Vocational Education Unit, the Advanced Unit of National Spiritual Civilization Construction, and the Outstanding College of National Talents Cultivation and so on.
